Dog beds of organic cotton, wool and natural latex, handmade in Indiana.
The Woolly Hound Co makes dog beds by hand in Indiana from a short list of materials: cotton, wool and natural latex. The Classic Bed has a core of shredded natural latex, a layer of wool or organic cotton batting, and a removable organic cotton canvas cover that goes in the washing machine. The wool batting comes from a California supplier that works with family farms, and the organic cotton batting is GOTS certified and grown in Texas. The latex is tapped from rubber trees in Sri Lanka, and the company says so plainly on its site. There is no polyurethane foam or polyester. Replacement covers and refresh kits let you renew a bed instead of replacing it. Four sizes run from $279 to $479.
